       THE PEARL OF SUFISM

The Pearl Of Sufism’ is the way Sufism is taught in our time. Rich with    stories, facts and many practical advises for every spiritual seeker.

This book contains some of the essential topics of the teachings Dr.Azmayesh about    Sufism.

The pearl is taken as a metaphor for the inner substance of the seeker. To realize this    pearl is the goal of everybody starting out on this path.Together  with the analogy of    the ghanat (the inner  channel we dig) this analogy is explained in vivid images,    making it resonate on a very deep level.

The relation between the master and the disciple is at the core of this path of mystical       teachings.  Another important subject is the place      of the rhythms on this path. Dr.     Azmayesh teaches us that the rhythms    can strengthen the energy of our heart (the       main orientation of the Sufi).    Aspects like the rhythms in the mystical poetry and the    inner vibration of    the rhythms are explained in this book.

In an earlier book, Lessons of a Sufi master Dr. Azmayesh extensively    wrote about the    life after death, out of body experiences and the four    main pillars of this path; the     meditation, the zekr (or mantra), the fekr (the mental image) and the mohassebeh              (making up the balance of ones    acts each day). So these subjects have a less prominent    place within this  book.

In the teachings of Dr. Azmayesh, many stories and examples are included   to touch   and inspire us on different levels and to breathe more life into   the subjects.

A very rich publication for anybody interested in spirituality, mysticism, Gnosticism  and    Sufism.

This book has been published in German language as well with the        title of DIE PERLE DER SUFIS
